Burke Gilman Trail Cleanup

USA

District: 5030

Rotary Club: University Sunrise

24-Apr-10

Time: 9 AM to Noon

Number of Volunteers Expected: 24

Location: Burke Gilman Trail, Seattle, WA

The Burke Gilman Trail is used by hundreds of thousands of Seattlites every year as the major bike, board, skate, run and walking urban experience. It reaches from the north shore of Lake Washington to Puget Sound along an old railroad right of way and passing through posh residences, the University of Washington and marine industrial areas.

Sunrise Rotarians, armed with weed wackers, pruners and coffee stimulated muscles will rid a portion of the Burke Gilman Trail of noxious weeds, brush and blackberry canes.
