It has been a tradition for Yakima Rotary clubs (Yakima Downtown Rotary, Yakima Southwest Rotary and Yakima Sunrise Rotary) to organize a spring cleanup day in which we spruce up the area around Rotary Lake, the Yakima Greenway, and other public sites. This year, in addition to cleaning Rotary Lake, we will refurbish the McGuire-Sunrise Rotary Playground and clean up trail areas in Yakima Greenway. We plan to enlist the help of soldiers from the Yakima Firing Center and members of three Interact clubs from local high schools. The event will be concluded with a barbeque at Sarg Hubbard Park.
