Project #160

Transit Shelters for Cumberlan

Canada

District: 5020

Rotary Club: Cumberland Centennial

30-Apr-08

Time: Noon

Number of Volunteers Expected: 22

Location: Village of Cumberland, BC

Transit ridership is on the increase so the club decided to erect the first two transit shelters in the Village of 2800 people. Seniors in particular who rely solely on transit for transportation will have places to get out of the wind and weather during the blustery winter months on Vancouver Island. The target date for completion of the installation is 30 April 2008. Total cost of the project $17,500.
