San Pasqual Academy is a residential school for foster teens located in Escodido, CA. Last fall, the campus suffered extensive damage to its grounds and facilities during the 2007 fires.
In a joint project with La Jolla Sunrise and Rancho Santa Fe Rotary Clubs, The Rotary Club of Coronado will be erecting a new greenhouse, planting a one acre crop, and painting a newly installed shed on the grounds of the Academy.
It is interesting to note that SPA students grow organic produce on this site for their own consumption and they also sell it to some very upscale San Diego restaurants. Great lessons to be learned all the way around!
